biography

John Palmer is a Senior Managing Director on Greystone’s Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac executive leadership team. He is the Head of Screening, leading the Agency Conventional Desk that covers Greystone relationship managers and house accounts that generate new Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac lending opportunities. John has been at Greystone since 2009, holding senior roles in both the Agency and CMBS lending platforms.

Prior to joining Greystone, John worked as a Vice President at Bank of America in Charlotte, NC, where he was the transaction lead on multiple CMBS securitizations. Before this, he had similar roles at Credit Suisse and Barclays Capital in CMBS in New York. He began his career at Fitch Ratings in New York, rating CMBS bonds in the new issuance group.

John earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rhodes College in Memphis and an MBA with a real estate finance concentration from the University of Memphis. John has been in real estate finance since 1998.
