Charles Di Maggio joined Greystone in 1999 and founded Greystone Management Solutions to provide real estate portfolio and occupancy strategy, financing, and transaction services to public and private sector clients nationwide.

Over a career that spans four decades of real estate, construction, and legal experience, Mr. Di Maggio has developed public procurement best practices through Greystone’s engagements with public entities. He has direct experience as a liaison to state and local officials on behalf of clients across the United States.

Mr. Di Maggio has been actively involved in real estate, management, law and construction in both the public and private sectors since 1980. He has also served as the City of New York’s lead housing and real estate lobbyist in Albany, as the Assistant Commissioner for Local Government Affairs and Contract Management for the Department of Housing Preservation and Development and as the Assistant Representative to the Board of Estimate for the Mayor’s Office of the City of New York under the administration of Edward I. Koch.  Additionally, Mr. Di Maggio is an adjunct professor at the Graduate School of Urban Planning at UMASS/Boston where he instructs courses on Urban Real Estate, Finance, and Transit Oriented Development.  Mr. Di Maggio additionally serves as the Founding Chairman of the Real Estate Committee for the American Public Transportation Association.

Mr. Di Maggio holds a B.A. from Fordham University, a Masters in Urban Planning from Hunter College, and a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.  He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in State of New York and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and a licensed attorney in the states of New York and Colorado.
