Blake Okland is Chief Revenue Officer at Greystone. In this role, he focuses on scaling Greystone’s industry-leading multifamily financing offerings and investor relationships and further leveraging the firm’s strategic joint venture with Cushman & Wakefield.
Prior to joining Greystone, Blake was Vice Chairman, Head of Multifamily Investment Sales for Newmark. Unifying Newmark’s multifamily offices across the country, Blake increased collaboration and improved client services nationwide by identifying and executing strategic initiatives, business line and geographic expansion and recruiting. Blake also served on Newmark’s US Operating Committee, and on its Global Capital Markets Board to develop and monitor global capital flows into the US Multifamily market.
Prior to Newmark, Blake served as president of ARA for four years. He also led the company’s governing body, the National Executive Committee, during this period. Before his role as president of ARA, Blake served as a member of the National Executive Committee for five years and played a key role in the firm’s acquisition by Newmark. Mr. Okland also held prior roles at CBRE.
Prior to his tenure with CBRE, Blake worked as an acquisitions and dispositions analyst with Archstone-Smith Communities Trust, where he was directly involved with transactions in various stages of the marketing process totaling approximately $500 million.
Blake is an Executive Committee member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science.
