Andy Shires is a Senior Managing Director in the agency lending space at Greystone. He also sits on various loan committees for the firm. He has more than 30 years of commercial real estate and lending experience with an extensive origination, underwriting and asset management background across all property types. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate and Finance from Georgia State University and his MBA in Finance from Kennesaw State University. He also holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.
Andy has been at Greystone since 2009 and has had multiple roles at Greystone from managing a team of Deputy Chiefs, underwriters and analysts to running the screening group for all conventional agency business whereby he managed a seasoned team that was responsible for educating and training production staff on conventional agency loan products and underwriting nuances, structuring and evaluating loan opportunities brought in by the production staff, maintaining strong relationships with the agencies to yield favorable outcomes on our waiver/exception requests submitted to the agencies. Andy has developed best practices to maximize Greystone’s production efforts through use of technology and implementing or re-engineering processes.
