Paul Donahue is a Managing Director bringing over 35 years of real estate capital markets expertise to Greystone’s lending platform, and is based in Boston, MA. Paul’s career has been focused on real estate – starting with managing apartment buildings in high school. He briefly worked in banking — due to a cyclical lack of real estate jobs. Paul still remembers the meeting when he learned of “mortgage banking” as a career and decided it was for him. With a passion for working with multifamily housing, Paul found challenging opportunities helping quality owners finance their assets. Over the last thirty years, Paul developed a focus on advising institutional owners as they morphed from an obscure novelty to the major owner class. With these clients, he has helped investors achieve higher returns through billions of novel financings vehicles.
Prior to joining Greystone, Mr. Donahue was a Senior Vice President at Grandbridge Real Estate Capital where he served capital needs of pension fund advisors, family office, affordable housing sponsors, and institutional clients with debt solutions across a range of asset types across the country. Throughout his career, Mr. Donahue held roles at CBRE, Berkshire Mortgage Finance and Krupp Realty (now Berkshire Property Advisors). He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Harvard College and an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
