Robert Schultz

Managing Director

Mr. Schultz is primarily responsible for identifying new tax-exempt mortgage revenue bond investments for Greystone Housing Impact Investors LP (NYSE: GHI) formerly known as America First Multifamily Investors, L.P., as well as negotiating and monitoring GHII’s secured financing arrangements.   Mr. Schultz has expertise in tax exempt real estate finance – specifically affordable housing and governmental infrastructure involving municipal issuers and special districts. He has specific knowledge of debt structuring as well as working knowledge of tax law, tax credits and accounting issues. Mr. Schultz has developed securitization programs for clients involving custody receipts, derivative offerings, senior/subordinate structures, multiple-project housing pools and tender option bond programs. He has particular knowledge of Agency debt programs including FHA/HUD Section 8, FHA-risk sharing, Section 202; Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.  From 2000 to 2012, Mr. Schultz served as Vice President of D.A. Davidson & Co. where he originated and/or executed nearly 200 transactions representing over $4 billion of publicly offered bond and privately placed bond transactions.  From 1990 to 2000, Mr. Schultz served as Assistant Vice President of John Nuveen & Co. representing various state and local housing agencies.  Mr. Schultz served previously on the board of the Colorado Municipal Bond Dealers Association.  Mr. Schultz holds an M.B.A. from Loyola University Quinlan School of Business, Chicago, IL and a B.S. – Finance from Miami University, Oxford, OH.
