Tanya’s primary focus is assisting owners and developers in meeting complex challenges associated with the recapitalization, rehabilitation and preservation of affordable housing across the US. She sources new finance and real estate preservation opportunities under the Fannie Mae, FHA and USDA product lines. Tanya has worked in multi-family real estate since 1989, specifically in development, management, fiscal analysis and asset management.

Prior to joining Greystone, she was Executive Director of WAJ Management, LLC where she directed the asset management of LIHTC, HUD, and USDA sites located throughout North Carolina. Furthermore, she served for approximately 11 years as Regional Vice President of Development for Forest City Residential Group, a Cleveland based $10.7 billion publicly traded real estate company, where she concentrated on urban development and adaptive re-use of multifamily sites throughout the eastern US.

Tanya holds an active North Carolina Real Estate Broker-In-Charge License. She has also been elected President of the Council for Affordable and Rural Housing (CARH) for the 2016-2018 term. Over the years, Tanya has participated in many educational conferences/workshops and is considered to be one of today’s top innovative leaders in preservation of affordable housing.
