That’s why each Greystone client in our $52 billion primary servicing portfolio receives their own dedicated asset manager – a single, informed point of contact who understands the client’s mortgage loan and property.
Greystone clients also benefit from our proactive asset management procedures. We carefully monitor warning signs of possible nonperformance or default across our entire loan servicing portfolio, so we can identify risks early and act quickly in collaboration with our clients.
On December 31, 2019, Greystone acquired C-III Asset Management, LLC. Greystone’s Special Servicing team was the named special servicer on 105 CMBS, CRE-CDO and CLO issuers, secured by 1,304 loans and 1,654 underlying properties totaling approximately $18.4 billion.
Greystone’s Special Servicing team has a wealth of current and historical data across all property types throughout the U.S. and first-hand access to proprietary market and property data, including in secondary and tertiary markets where information may be limited to others.
The special servicing group has resolved over $54 billion of defaulted loans since its inception in 2002. Since 2015, the team provided due diligence on 27 CMBS & CLO deals and 30 Freddie K-Series deals.
Post-Securitization, our Special Servicing team provides ongoing surveillance of the loans within its named special servicing portfolio and produces monthly reporting, including a watchlist on loans of concern.
